This morning I sat in the van, and crocheted on a green and blue pastel afghan for an hour or so while my hubby went to see his VA doctor.
Spring was in the air. The sun was shining, and the US flag was whipping around its pole in the clear blue sky. The wind beat it around, and never let up. It made me think of the veterans who braved the elements and wars to keep our country free. It made me think of Jesus, too, who gave his life for you and me. It made me think, and that was a good thing. Today was a pleasant and memorable day for thinking and journeying on.
We rode north on I 81, and turned at Martinsburg, WV toward Shepherdstown. I had planned this trip for quite a while. Our first stop was to be at O'Hurley's General Store, and I wanted to meet Milo, the cat who lives there. He mostly sleeps in the rocking chair in front of the pot belly woodstove. I disturbed his rest, and held him on my lap so we could have our picture taken together. What a big pile of fluff!. What a warm cozy cat! What a joy to hold and behold! So happy that I finally got to meet Milo, the cat I found on the Internet while researching about Shepherdstown.
